Artifact and Reflection

Reflection

This was a very interesting Civic Engagement Portfolio entry option for me to complete. I enjoy research, so this was right up my alley.

This entry gave me a greater appreciation for our elected officials and what they do. They work tirelessly to make changes for our community and to advocate for those in need. They do this (especially local government officials) on top of managing their careers, spending time with their families, and engaging in society.

This is one of the projects in which I desire to do an extension, as I would be interested to see how some people (such as Senator Slotkin) manage their personal lives and their lives as a US congress-person, and how they decided to run for an elected office.
